MatchPadd LLC ("MatchPadd," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information about you when you use the MatchPadd mobile application, website located at matchpadd.com, and all related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Information We Collect
2.1 Information You Provide Directly
When you create an account or use the Service, you may provide:
- Account information: name, email address, phone number, and password
- Profile information: profile photo, professional bio (for Agents), license number (for Agents)
- Listing information: property details, photographs, pricing, and descriptions (for Agents and FSBO sellers)
- Financial information: payment method details collected and processed by Stripe. MatchPadd does not store your full payment card information.
- Communications: messages sent through the in-app messaging system between Consumers and Agents
- Pre-approval information: mortgage pre-approval amount if you choose to add a pre-approval badge
- Support communications: messages you send to our support team
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Service, we automatically collect:
- Usage data: features you use, listings you view, your swipe behavior (right, left, or up), listings you save, and messages you send
- Device information: device type, operating system and version, unique device identifiers, and mobile network information
- Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, time and date of access, and referring URLs
- Location data: with your permission, approximate geographic location to surface relevant listings in your area
- Crash reports and performance data: collected through Sentry to identify and fix bugs and performance issues
- Product analytics: usage patterns and feature engagement collected through PostHog to improve the Service
2.3 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information about you from third parties, including social login providers if you choose to sign in using a third-party account, and payment processors in connection with your transactions.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service
- Create and manage your account
- Process payments and manage your subscription
- Facilitate communications between Consumers and Agents through the in-app messaging system
- Personalize your experience, including surfacing listings relevant to your preferences and swipe history
- Send you transactional notifications such as price drop alerts, new message notifications, and listing status changes
- Send you marketing communications about the Service (you may opt out at any time)
- Analyze usage patterns to improve and develop the Service
- Monitor for and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- Comply with legal obligations
- Respond to your support requests and communications
How We Share Your Information
4.1 With Other Users
Certain information is shared between users as part of the normal operation of the Service:
- Agent profile information (name, photo, bio, license details) is visible to Consumers who view their listings or initiate a message
- Listing information submitted by Agents is visible to all Consumers on the Service
- Consumer pre-approval badge status (amount range only, not specific amount) is shared with Agents when a Consumer initiates a message
- Messages sent through the in-app messaging system are shared between the sender and recipient
4.2 With Service Providers
We share information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the Service:
- Stripe, Inc.: payment processing. Stripe's Privacy Policy is available at stripe.com/privacy.
- Supabase, Inc.: database, authentication, file storage, and real-time messaging infrastructure. Supabase's Privacy Policy is available at supabase.com/privacy.
- Mapbox, Inc.: map display and location services within listing detail views. Mapbox's Privacy Policy is available at mapbox.com/legal/privacy.
- Sentry: error monitoring and crash reporting to help us identify and fix bugs. Sentry's Privacy Policy is available at sentry.io/privacy.
- PostHog: product analytics to understand how users interact with the Service. PostHog's Privacy Policy is available at posthog.com/privacy.
4.3 Business Transfers
If MatchPadd is involved in a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or similar transaction, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via email or prominent notice on the Service before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
4.4 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if we believe disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MatchPadd, our users, or others.
4.5 With Your Consent
We may share your information for other purposes with your explicit consent.
4.6 What We Do Not Do
MatchPadd does not sell your personal information to third parties. MatchPadd does not share your personal information with third-party advertisers for the purpose of serving targeted advertisements.
Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, compliance, or fraud prevention purposes.
Listing content submitted by Agents that has been publicly viewed by Consumers may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form for analytics purposes after deletion.
Your Rights and Choices
6.1 Account Information
You may review and update your account information at any time through your account settings in the app.
6.2 Location Data
You may disable location access for the MatchPadd app at any time through your device settings. Disabling location access may limit certain features of the Service.
6.3 Push Notifications
You may disable push notifications at any time through your device settings.
6.4 Marketing Communications
You may opt out of marketing email communications by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email or by contacting us at support@matchpadd.com. You may not opt out of transactional communications related to your account or subscription.
6.5 California Residents — CCPA Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- The right to know what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and sell
- The right to request deletion of your personal information
- The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information (MatchPadd does not sell personal information)
- The right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights

6.6 Residents of Other Jurisdictions
Depending on where you are located, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, including rights of access, correction, portability, and erasure. To exercise any such rights, please contact us at support@matchpadd.com.
Data Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or alteration. These measures include encrypted data transmission (TLS), secure authentication, and access controls through our infrastructure provider Supabase.
No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights and freedoms, we will notify affected users as required by applicable law.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 18, we will take steps to delete that information promptly. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us at support@matchpadd.com.
Third-Party Links
